HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?

We offer free shipping Australia wide for all orders over $100. 

Within Australia
We charge $5.95 for Standard shipping (for orders under $100) and
$8.95 for Express shipping.

International
We charge $15.95 (AUD) for Standard and $35.95 (AUD) express.

 

HOW LONG UNTIL MY ORDER WILL ARRIVE?

Within Australia
Standard shipping: 2-7 business days.
Express: 1-3 business days.

International
Standard: 9-29 business days.
Express: 7-15 business days.

WHAT ARE THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY JEWELLERY?

After each wear, gently remove makeup and oils that can transfer from your skin to your jewellery by wiping it clean with a soft cloth.

If you know you’ve been sweaty that day or think the piece might have product on it, we highly recommend giving it a quick rinse in lukewarm water and then drying it with a soft cloth (being weary not to scratch or tarnish).

Taking your jewellery off and storing it away while you sleep will also increase its longevity, as it reduces exposure to air and natural skin oils.

Avoid exposure to sunscreen, however if exposed, try your best to clean as soon as possible. 

 

WHAT MATERIALS IS MY JEWELLERY MADE OUT OF?

We use the materials of .925 Sterling Silver, 14k Gold and 18k Gold, all of which are ethically sourced and crafted. As our business grows, we hope to move towards partially or fully recycled materials for our jewellery.

MY EARRINGS HAVE BECOME LOOSE, WHAT CAN I DO?

Our earrings are designed to be tightened from home.

You can tighten your earrings very easily by gently pushing the two forks together with pliers, or any similar tool. This can also be achieved with your fingers, if there are no other options available.

If you are having trouble, please email us and we can help you with this process.

  

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?


If you change your mind about a piece, we are more than happy to organise a Return, Exchange or Refund within 14-days of the date you have received your items (excluding shipping costs). 

The shipping costs incurred for returning item(s) for exchange, credit or refund are at your own expense, unless proven fault upon arrival. 
We will provide you with a exchange or credit on your items if:

  • the items have not been damaged by you.
  • the items are in original condition.
  • you notify us and return the item(s) within 14-days of receipt.
  • there is proof of purchase.
  • the items are faulty upon arrival.
  • the items received are different to the goods you have ordered.

 

REFUNDS:

If you require a refund, please email info@virtueofthesea.com with your reasoning, and any photo evidence if there are issues regarding fault upon arrival, within 14-days of receiving your pieces. 

After examining the item(s), we will inform you of whether you have the right to reimbursement of the amount paid (excluding shipping).

You must return the item(s) in saleable condition without delay within 14-calendar days of receipt.

Once your return has been received, inspected and approved we will refund you by your original payment method. Refunds will only be issued once return orders have been received.

We do not offer refunds on sale products.

WHAT IF MY JEWELLERY IS FAULTY?

If you have a problem with your jewellery within 30-60 days from purchase, please email us immediately with an image of the fault to info@virtueofthesea.com,
from here we will determine whether the items will need to be returned, replaced, refunded. 

We will not replace items that have become faulty due to "wear and tear"; ie. jewellery has been subjected to excessive swimming, hot water and/or pulling and tearing on various objects, which may lead to a break or fault. 

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO LOWER YOUR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT?

It is a huge part of our mission as a business, to be aware about the impacts we have on the environment, and work to lessen these effects more and more as we grow and learn. 

Currently we package with all compostable or recyclable products:

  • Our shipping boxes are recyclable cardboard.
  • Our cloths bags are made from organic cotton.
  • Our packing peanuts are water soluble and home-compostable.
  • Our shipping bags are home-compostable and can be re-used.
  • Our Stirling Silver jewellery itself is recyclable!

We invite any and all suggestions to positive changes you have thought of or are aware of, for the growth of our business in this light. We are consciously learning as we go, how to lesson our footprint in this environment.

HOW ARE YOU CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY?

We donate $1 from every order to organisations that are helping the community and environment against a variety of difficult factors. These organisations will change every few months, so that we can spread the love.

At the moment we are donating to: Reef Restoration Foundation Australia,
an organisation that is committed to the rehabilitation of the Great Barrier Reef against coral bleaching. Our donations will go towards "adopting coral" for nurseries built towards reef restoration.
